Close to the body, never tight
No slim fit. No low waistband. The waistband sits at the waist, the shoulder stays natural, the waist is suggested, not pulled in.
A suit that only works standing still is no suit. You sit in it. You walk in it. You work in it.

Three ways to be dressed

Business
Five days a week. Navy, mid-grey, charcoal. Herringbone, pinstripe, Prince of Wales, houndstooth. Patterns right for a hundred years, and right still.
II.
Country Style
Tweed, corduroy, flannel. One jacket for the racecourse, one for Sunday. Room to move, and never a costume.
III.
Gala & Occasions
Gala, ball, wedding. The dinner suit first. Beneath it a three-piece you go on wearing afterwards.

Your measure, your fabric
The measure first. Then the house cut, brought to your bearing. Then the specification: lapel, lining, buttons, pockets. The sewing comes last. Everything returns once more for a fitting.
