Alter Knabe is not a question of years. It is a man who has stopped explaining himself.
Alter Knabe is a homage to the age in which a suit was not bought but come by — through patience, an eye and a hand.
What came of it is not a collection but a bearing. A cut that follows a man and not a season. A fabric he chose rather than one he was handed. And time taken, because time is what you see later.
Founded in Vorarlberg, where little is said and much is kept. Made to measure, not myth: a proven house cut, worked onto one man, in the fabric he chose.
The Name
Alter Knabe
„Alter Knabe“ is said in German with affection, never in mockery. It means the man who has found his cut and no longer has to defend it, and who does not speak of labels in any case.
